Matt is now with our network for the subjects of Math and Science for in-home tutoring in the Palos Verdes, Torrance, and Redondo Beach areas. He tutored countless students through his college years, and continues to tutor with his own kids and private tutoring clients to the present day. He has a bachelor's degree in physics from UC San Diego and is available to tutor both math and science at all high school levels and on to many college courses as well.

Matt's personality is very engaging. He is highly intelligent and enthusiastic, and (at the risk of sounding new age) has an amazing knack for getting on the same wavelength as the student and making difficult concepts much easier to understand.

In Matt's words..."I am available for tutoring in Chemistry, Physics and Math at all high school levels including AP. As a child, I was always enthusiastic about Science and Math. This developed into a passion that I am always happy to share. I find that once a person can connect what they are learning to the real world around them, it makes that subject easier to understand.

I graduated with a degree in Physics, specializing in Earth Science from The University of California at San Diego. I put myself through college largely by tutoring high school students in the nearby community of La Jolla. I am currently self employed and living in Torrance with my wife and four children. Being self employed has allowed me the freedom to coach Little League Baseball, AYSO soccer and volunteer at Victor School where my daughter is enrolled.

As a father of four, one of which is now a freshman at Oregon State University, I know what parents go through in supporting their children as they work their way through the High School curriculum. I am patient and understanding and work to impart the same enthusiasm and passion for the subjects I have come to appreciate. In the end though, it is about knowledge and understanding of the subject at a fundamental level. I work from this point forward so that the student gains confidence and self esteem."
